New Opportunities

So today I got to do something I've never done before, and walking around UC Berkeley does not count because its never really on campus. I got to talk to transfer advisors and admissions advisors at UC Merced. I was kind of skeptical at first because I have always had my heart sent on going to CAL, but after today, my eyes were opened to something amazing. Merced has a beautiful campus and it had many things I am passionate about. A lot of people many not know this about me, but I am an energy conservationist. If the lights don't have to be on, leave them off. I am always going around and turning shit off that doesn't need to be on. Merced is on track to be the first college that solely relies on Solar Energy. If that's not cool, I don't know what is.

Finally getting to sit down with someone and really hash out what I have left to take to get there and then what needs to be done when I do, it was a big relief of stress. I'm so happy I have found 2 people who are willing to work with me and really push me to do this. Albert Martins and Marsha Bond-Nelson have been life savors. I cannot wait to take this journey with their help and support. They offered their emails 24/7 with any questions and are keeping track of my progress online and said whenever I want to meet and just sit down to see were thing are at to just give a shout out and they will be there.

Maybe this has been was has been planned for me all along. Maybe this was why I was meant to move down here and love here. It's all for what's right for me, and I think I found it... At UC Merced! Go Bobcats... Even though I will always be a Bear at heart!
